Nagakiba Katana

Hi dudes. I'm seeking to get a rather pure desterity build for my samurai and I learnt about this nagakiba katana. It can be obtained by killing a man named Yura in that Limgrave ravine, but I have a problem. I remember having been at that point earlier on in the game and I must have killed that Yura or I may have not -I mean, he's not there now so I guess I must have killed it before but I don't remember. The thing is -is there any other way to get that nagakiba katana if that Yura is not spawning there anymore? Does the possibility exist that I defeated him and sold away the katana when I didn't know that I might want it later? Mmm f*ck knows, yeah, I find it weird but that might have happened. Any ideas? If you have killed him you should have the Nagakiba in your inventory, shouldn't you?

He moves to different location, depending how far you are in the quest. If you travel the river/canyon from Agheel Lake north where the murckwater caves are you get invaded by an NPC invader. He'll spawn and help you. Afterwards continue travelling north where he will stand on the left side in the canyon under a stone bridge (at least I think its something like this). Talk to him. He also might just go back to his first location if you kill Agheel.

If he is in neither of these places, he's in the Academy near the 1st site of grace after you entered the academy. Go from the site of grace to the north/northeast onto that huge destroyed bridge. You'll find a red sign on the ground. Invade that world and kill the NPC, afterwards Yura will stand there and thank you for that.

By the way, you can also get his blade by completing his quest. And if you want to dual wield, since you started as a samurai, just get the 2nd uchigatana, it's better anyway.

You get it from his questline anyway IIRC. If he is not at the 1st location you meet him then this means that you have probably talked to him, exhausted all his dialogue options and he moved on to the next location where his questline continues.
This should be at a gate in Raya Lucaria Academy. Just look for the Yura NPC in some ER wiki....

you will find that sword wherever yura last was when you terminated his quest…whether you finished it or ruined it. alternatively if you kill him at any point you get it. he can either be under the bridge on land where he first spawns, at murkwater dungeon where you are invaded at the river, or north(?) of that up the river under a bridge. for me i found the item under the bridge further up the river from the dungeon. yura will be gone and the item is on the ground. in ng+ i just killed him right away for my second one.

I kind of agree with this, mostly because Nagakiba is so long it's easier to have it bounce on walls; that being said, Nagakiba's advantage is reach so pick your poison I guess.
