do you mean the scaling. Scaling goes up to NG+7. You can still do another NG cycle after that though

i think it stops at NG+999, at least thats the highest ive seen anyone get to. (ds3)

from what i read and herd that NG+7 will be like first playthrough in difficulty wise

Theoretically yes, if there is a limit its probably out of reason. Someone already mentioned scaling which does fall off after some point. Altough after a certain point you'll be able to have stats so high you can weild and do anything.... I usually save this character for when friends want some OP help lol and start over if I'm still playing.
