Frenzied Flame really should have a prompt

Like I get there's a "warning" if you rest at the grace, but a simple "Do you accept this blessing" would have gone a long way. How many people rest at that grace, considering the dungeon the preludes it is holding a grand total of like 2k runes at a level where that's basically useless.

I also get ER/DS is renowned for its cryptic storytelling, but losing the main quest giver the entire game is sort of a stupid ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ move. Anyway, ♥♥♥♥ that ♥♥♥♥. I guess I have to get the needle but I'm annoyed at how that was done. You shouldn't have to read the wiki to know if you're going to lock yourself out of a major story arc.

I feel like I've missed a lot of Melina's dialogue simply because i didn't sit at sites of grace that often (mainly because the flasks refill in outside areas and I didn't want the enemies to respawn). I initially got to Godrick without meeting her because of that.

a)you are warned by melina

b)if you did hyetta's questline, she makes it pretty clear what is happening (and encourages you, cause shes part of it

c)ties into B, but you SPECIFICALLY have to be naked for this to even happen, why would that not be if it isn't something important happening?

and finally D)if you dislike it that much, just go obtain the item and disable the ending.

edit: e for edit: your not being locked out of any specific ending/main story npc, you can just undo your actions and contiune on, your only "locked" insofar that if you don't remove the chaos, you get that ending no matter what else you do, but you CAN remove it.

I admit, it can be pretty hard to recognize the "Talk to Melina" prompts especially since she's so forgettable. Though, how did you get through that door anyways before all the aforementioned warnings? If I recall correctly, she warns you right after you beat the boss guarding the altar. Are you just going around butt naked?

The same thing happened to me. Didn't rest at the bonfire and I learned that I have to be naked by the messages dropped down by the other players. After embracing the flame it made me sad that Melina left me, but hey, I actually saved her from dying.

You can remove it later too.

All you really have to do is stumble into a certain area and unequip some stuff. You don't need any of the NPC quests to actually find the area and open the door.

lol its easy to get the flame accidentally man. If you actually explore everything you will find the door without doing Hyettaas quest and people leave ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of messanges outside the door how to get the door to open lol

Not at all. If you had paid attention to OP, Melina doesn't appear if you don't rest at the bonfire.

Melina doesn't appear unless you stop at the grace, but taking off gear should be out of the norm enough to suggest something big.
