I'd prefer not to play offline if possible.
I'll try turning NVIDIA overlay off, I already dsiabled steams and have nothing else running
Update: Removing NVIDIA overlay made it last longer, but still crashed... Any other ideas?
2. disable Device Association Root Enumerator from device manager
3 remove epic launcher (sounds stupid but try it)
- Go to:
~\Steam\steamapps\common\ELDEN RING\Game - Right-click eldenring.exe and choose "Preferences" > "Compatability".
- Check the box for "Inactivate full-screen optimization".
- Choose "OK".
Next, open Settings in Windows and search for Xbox Game Bar and make sure it's deactivated.Thank you, it has Full Screen smooth as ♥♥♥♥, I can also alt+tab in full screen. Windowed Bordorless is still broke, but this will work! Do you know why that setting breaks the game?
No I turned all my Overlay's off and it didn't make any improvements.
Researched an answer for you, because this weirdness bothers the heck out of me.
"Full Screen Optimization" tricks games into thinking it's running in full screen mode, but Windows really makes it run in borderless.
As you're already aware, borderless Window doesn't play nice with games and framerates at all.

Update: It worked the first time, but now crashes fullscreen. Any other ideas? MAybe I can test my GPU any ideas on how to do that?
Ah well it worked for a second... You have any ideas? I should maybe try eliminating hardware issues. Is there a good way to test my GPU do you know?
