Its the main point of the game.. idiots dont understand whats going on.. its a vast open world. Just because there isnt enemies patrolling every square inch, doesnt mean its also not full of obstacles, puzzles, traps, etc..
But yet they want it "smaller"
I have faith we are going to see some amazing DLC's in the future for this game. A few quests hinted as much, and there were a few data mined assets that also indicated there will be add on's coming.

He took the time to compare them, personnaly, i think we saw more the Copy/Paste ennemies in Elden Ring because how big the game is, and therefore, they needed to copy/paste more than any other of their games and became more visible, personnaly, i don't mind the reused bosses/mini-bosses as they are optionnal and on't really mind killing the same strong ennemie multiple times, but for main bosses, i like uniqueness and to me even the reused main bosses had something new when you meet them again, in the end, i feel like if the world was 50 to 30% smaller, and dungeons a little bigger and complex, it would have been a even better game
I will agree with you on the last bit though. I just don't see myself replaying this one as much as I did DS1 & DS3.
If you look through the comments in that page you will see someone listed all the DS3 enemies using the same method the OP used and DS3 came out to 220 types where as ER is 140.
I'm not sure since I didn't like DS3 and only played the DLC once so I wouldn't know which enemies are form the DLC, but he did list the names of all the enemies so if you want to look through it just go down to the comments and sort by "New" it will be the second comment.
I'm not familiar with DS3 but he list above from the comment used multiple times the same names, i saw Rat/Mimic/Thrall/.... multiple times, so to me it seems to be a troll
I took the list from the comment;
He is listing the multiple versions of the same enemies. Such as Thrall with hand axe and Thrall with Greatsword. He should have specified it better. But the reason for repeats is cause the OP did it too, for example:
Demi-Humans (Sword & Shield)
Demi-Humans (Small & Agile)
Demi-Humans (Large With Big Club)
Why basic Rat are listed 5 times, Giant rats 2 times, mimic 6 times and many also other ennemies sharing the same exact names listed multiple times ?
Actually, I started looking through it and there is a lot of repeats that are strange. I don't remember there being that many variants of the same enemy in DS3 such as 3 different Hollow Assassins. It is possible he's listing the same ones over and over, so I'm not sure now if that list is reliable.
Yeah, I'm wondering that now too. If you use Reddit you should ask him cause that is really strange.
