It's not but I bet you'll get replies from all the people with 80 STR dual Legendaries say "LUL YEHH RITE"

Magic, like everything else in the game, relies on the player knowing what to do when it needs to be done...

It definitely makes a lot of the boss fights easier, yeah. Kiting with something like stars of ruin means you don't have to deal with dodging as many attacks.

Stars of Ruin do no damage in mid-late game. It's only decent for NPC Invaders and a few other bosses.

Try fighting Maliketh with Stars of Ruin and you'll get rekt

I never lose to it in PvP. Even the spells you can't fully roll out off and do a bit of a chip damage do less chip then my roll into dualwield hit or sprint into L1. Maybe it's good v mobs and bosses cause anything ranged in this game is pretty OP if you are half decent at rolling.
Magic is a risk reward if you ask me, because if like me you go solid into magic I got like 70 int, 45 faith, 14 vigor.... 🤣🤣 then what you are doing is opening yourself to an attack to let off a spell that is strong. But there is also foes in this game like crystialians that are basically immune to magic so careful even my strongest spells and weapons hit for like 30 lol

i feel like i dodge as much as melee user tbh unless the boss is slow
Its not, bosses will come close to you and attack you, you can just just run away from all bosses. You need to dodge anyway, you do not have as much heals, you need to drink you ashes estus mid fight a lot ... for fighting through levels with the right spells, yes it kind of is easy mode. As many enemies are just cannon fodder for your spells.

The spells that take very long are only usefull of you summon, and summoning is easy mode in the first place so ...

You will not get these long spells off vs bosses if you play solo, they also eat up tons of FB and suck when it comes to FB consumption. Pebble is the best spell!

You know you can just keep back peddling when they move towards you, right?

It really isn't hard to kite a boss around the edge of their arena while you're casting.

LMAO, oh yea strats for mages.

just summon the ashes of the shield skeletons to ♥♥♥♥-block the boss, and cast the lazer of death. when soloing.

I main shield and strength (well aware shields are straight garbage), I pair up with a mage that can death lazer. I block, he shoots, boss dead before I can run out of stamina.

Did you read the guy's equipment.stats? 99 int

If you fight Malenia at level 400 on New Game only, yes I suspect most bosses are easy. Grinding for 250 hours probably isn't though.

Hence, my point still stands. I'll rectify:

Fight Maliketh or Malenia at levels 100-120 with a pure Sorcerer build using Stars of Ruin, it will probably take some time and is far from "Easy mode."

Edit: Actually looking at that video, wonder how many times he died doing that (runes on the ground tell a story). Moreover, he got Godly RNG.

Depends entirely on the boss, yes for some its very easy just to run in circles but that are the bosses that are easy in melee as well I think.

Haven't been able to successfully create and level up a magic character yet, it's just as difficult if not more so than any other play style. And like any other build, there's plenty of room later down the line to become majorly OP if you can actually get past the start of the game. There is no "easy mode" in this game.
