FPS seems to be capped at 40
So before today my game ran at solid 60, now it stays stuck at 40. It's not exactly frame drops, because it's just like I changed a setting somehow that made the cap 40. Anyone know what might have caused this? Didn't actually change a setting to my knowledge.

Even given that; the performance will not be perfect or even all that great. For your relative hardware/performance with other games: drop setting by at least 30% & hope for good performance. The game is amazing artistically. Technically? It is a disaster.
It's odd, though. It ran perfectly before today even with online mode, and there wasn't even an update last night. And if it was performance that's an issue, it's weird that it's so solidly stuck at 40 instead of dipping all over the place. I'll try that though.

do u have a custom nvidia profile, mainly vsync or fps cap related settings? (i know in one case the max-background fps setting would cause issues for me in a game)
also make sure your monitor hz didnt accidently get turned to 40

Alright thanks for the help everyone, I disabled shader cache in Nvidia control panel and set the fps limit to 60 (It wasn't set before, but I think it might've somehow defaulted to 40 or something). One of the things I did ended up fixing it.

great to hear, hope the disabling of nvidia cache (rather than deleting) will not give stutter issues for you, i might give it a shot myself
