people on steam "heres some weapons that deal more holy damage"
You're missing out.
It's not about what's best, it's about fun. Options are good, and, as the rest of the thread shows, there's plenty to spit out damage. The thread goes beyond OP's build and extends to all players who are looking for holy damage, for whatever reason.
That's weird, I felt holy was worse than flame art, and ever since my attempt against margit with a +5 sacred uchigatana I gave up on holy. It also doesn't help that holy damage doesn't keep skeletons dead (I still have to finish them) unless it has the pretty sparkly lights.
Pretty much, yes.
Yeah so far I've been rolling with Flame Art (you can even get it earlier than Sacred), so basically my pure FTH build is just a Pyromancer with heals... how nice.
stat requirements are kinda all over the place but it uses somber stone to upgrade which makes it more affordable and the weapon itself is pretty good and its weapon art aswell
edit ... i see someone was faster
You can make holy damage work but a lot of the good weapons are late game. Also the final boss resists holy like no ones bussiness. Also godslayer greatsword is a beast but it weighs a lot
Holy is pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥ early game but once you've properly levelled fth it will deal a ton of damage. The skeleton thing is weird, I think certain attacks do keep them dead (for example the Coded Sword's weapon art).
There are fights where you may want to use bleed or some other damage type like Melania and probably Elden Beast but otherwise it's fine late game.
Funny you mention Godslayer, I've been using godslayer incantations (and seal) the most over my playthrough cause I love how it burns their HP (literally), I might go for that one.
Weapons that can apply Holy essence to them will permanently kill undead enemies. This includes weapons such as Treespear or Code Sword. It is the active skill and its buff, not the passive holy damage a weapon deals.
+1 for Winged Scythe... the Angels Wing weapon skill is simply a monster.
