Occult dmg

I can change my weapon to occult but it doesnt seem to change the type of damage I do? Is this a bug?

It is not supposed to. It boosts physical damage that scales with arcane stat

I believe Occult just means your weapon starts scaling with Arcane.

I don't think it's a bug. I believe it makes the weapon scale with arcane. That and I believe it stops enemies like skeletons from re-animating after depleting their HP bar.

Not 100% sure on the last bit as I haven't used anything with occult.

I have not seen this effect. Only weapons that can be infused with Holly essence (it had to be active skill, not passive Holy damage on the weapon) will kill undead enemies permanently.

It changes a weapon to physically scale with arcane instead of dex/str. The drawback is that the arcane scaling will likely be lower than the original str/dex scaling.

The only real use I've found for this was when facing enemies that are bleed immune during my arcane bleed build playthrough.

I thought it was Holy that did that but I read somewhere else Occult did it. So I wasn't 100% sure on either.
