same. got to the snowfield too and was like....i cant be bothered... i cant bring myself to traverse through the mountaintops and snowfield so im just going back and doing anything i missed and cooping for fun lol. i think maybe its because these areas just dont look and feel as jawdropping as the previous locations? just large open snowy areas... idk. im putting end game off

By the end of the game, I was very ready for the game to be over and I could put it down for awhile. I quit exploring every corner and just focused on getting to the end.

Haligtree and Farum Azula are good areas. Sad is that they are behind teleporters, which is a kind of immersion break, and at this point in the game I believe most people are rushing. Enemy placement and balance are also major bummers in these otherwise well designed areas.

I am still excited about the game but i got hit with that exact feeling after i finished the first catacomb cave in those mountains.

I reached Farum Azula (the area after the snowy mountains) and to be honest lost the motivation to keep playing, so I get it. It's not even that I was having trouble in a particular area, I just didn't seem to care anymore. Maybe after I've taken a break.

Happens because the carrot on the stick in this game is relatively weak

Not much variation. Same enemies, maybe reskin, etc
Becomes a chore.

I agree with both statements. Lategame balancing is awful and makes it not fun anymore. Some regular enemies hit even harder than bosses and it is copypaste en masse anyway.

Im 270 hrs into my first run, still lv 10. havent been past the capital ramparts grace site. I've done all bosses so far and farmed every piece of gear except a blue festive hood i still need. Upgraded all boss weapons to +4 and most non boss weapons to +9-12, so ive options for when i need to change it up ( hapens a lot as a lv 10 i cant just brute force in one chosen playstyle) and I'm still loving it. I get oneshotted by most regular mobs so it's about getting good and using my arsenal to the fullest. Not about overlevelling and stomping things. I dunno how relevant my points are to you, but I hope I've answered the OP's question.
