Can hosts please stop dying?
Every time I get summoned it's like trying to babysit children. There's hosts that literally want me to explore the area for them and will refuse to move unless I'm running in front of them, then they'll fall down a hole or die to some random mob anyway. There's hosts that will just dissolve if the boss has aggro on them for more than five seconds. It's exhausting. Please, all I want to do is have some fun fighting bosses again.

Put your sign right in front of the boss door. You will get less summons, but those that do are typically just about to run into the boss room.

I thought this was a common practice... and common knowledge.

Some summon pools are often terribly placed so I prefer to do this, and also force of habit, been doing it since DS1.

Less summons mean almost none in my experience. This worked well in older games, but in this game I'm having a really difficult time getting summoned by the boss gate. Summoning pools work well though.

I don't know why you're implying that I'm not doing this.

That could be because of your gear/level in the areas you are placing your sign. If you kept your gear refined and level low for the area you get summoned fairly commonly.
If you rushed a high refined weapon it will lock you to only be summoned for people who did the same, which drastically reduces your summon pool.

I could be wrong, but thats just how I feel, as I get summoned more on my Lv 75 character with appropriate gear level compared to my level 30 with a +10 somber stone weapon.

Well we do want to help them, not farming runes no?

If we'd want that we'd go to Rykard place or invade,

besides it's awesome seeing a host, after repeated summons finally dodge that black blade swing.

You know, I usually am the guy that's defending the host, but damn, I made an alt to help new players, and damn, I decided to place my sign down for some radahn co op.... and let me tell you, most hosts have barely 500 HP, that's pretty much a one shot, i was getting to the point where if i lost aggro, the host would just die, i had a fight where the dude summoned me, and i basically stayed fighting solo, got him to 60% HP, then the host decided to come help out, the second he pulled, he immediatly died..., Now I get that they are new, theres nothing wrong with that, but isn't it common sense that in any RPG you lvl HP ?

I don't mind helping people but Jesus Christ can they help themselves a little bit? There's not much I can do if they're just instantly evaporating the split second I lose aggro on a boss.

Most people are seriously struggling with the game. Just check the achievement stats. I'm sure It can be hard to relate to the average player when you're above average.

I feel your pain. Yesterday I was summoned for the divine tower of caelid and despite my best efforts the host refused to follow me to the drop down point and would throw himself off at random points to his death. This happened to the same host on 3 separate occasions.

Another was a guy in cloth armour, summoning for the minor erdtree fatty in northern caelid who had exactly, 673 hp. At around level 90. Every attack would one or two shot him.

Or the bear with 20k hp you're supposed to sneak past in the cave with the poise talisman. Great, you want me to fight that then kill the wolves and the boss with 4 heals as a summon. Wonderful.

Between constant disconnects and moronic hosts multiplayer can get a little frustrating.

Sometimes I get summoned by people that die before I finish loading in.

This happened to me. I got summoned to the rune bear cave in Caelid. Host ran in, got one shot by their charging attack. I don't blame them, the bear and duo boss fight below are difficult if you've just come from Limgrave. It's also not obvious at first that it's not a normal lesser rune bear since it has no health bar.

It's a shame that you can't see who you've played with on Steam anymore as I'd love to message these people and give them more detailed advice like I did in dark souls 3. I've made a lot of friends over the soulsbourne series by messaging and being messaged. Oh well.
