My "easyanticheat_eos_setup" Won't Open

I've been trying to install/repair EAC so I can finally launch the game because it keeps telling me that "Easy Anti-Cheat is not installed" but it will open up for under a second then immediately close. I even ran it as admin before opening it up but nothing changes. Is there anything I can do to fix this? I know I can somehow turn off EAC and play in offline mode but I would like be able to play with my friends and do some PvP too...

Steamapps common elden ring games the app whit bear icon
Go to steam elden ring properties local files verify game files

Do note that some anti virus software label EAC as malware so depending what antivirus software u have it might be deleting it

Sorry, I forgot to mention I've already deleted the EAC Files and verified them and it hasn't done anything. Just turned off my anti virus and still nothing has changed.

I reinstalled the game last night to see if it could be fix that way.

I feel your pain I have the same problem and before the problem I had 60 hours and zero problems I'm wondering what GPU do u have I have a 5700xt

Nah I haven't sadly so I just play the game without having EAC with a copy of the game but I can't play it online tho

then go into elden ring's game files in the installation folder and navigate to easy anti cheat, and click on the install_easyanticheat_eos_setup

a promt will pop up and hit enter.

this fixed it for me! basically, uninstall the now corrupted easy anti cheat in your c drive and re install.

also, to the sniper elite 5 game developers and the xbox app developers. fix ure stuff lmao.

I tried this but it will not let me delete the file in registry editor.

I did everything you said to do but when I got to you saying "right-click on HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > Find and look up the term EasyAntiCheat_EOS and delete.".

I right clicked on HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and I clicked on Find then typed EasyAntiCheat_EOS in the Find What bar and it just says searching the registry and nothing else pops up.

this would mean EAC is not installed correctly, can happen but is not normal.

Than proceed with installation.
