slap them until staggered
after that - they should take decent amount of damage
i usually hit and run with jump attacks if possible
Do a jump attack using heavy strike.
About 3 maybe 4 times and they will break and after that you'll deal normal damage to them.
You hear when they break because you hear that parry sound being made.
That's a super weird mechanic and it doesn't really make sense why they do take damage after breaking poise once, especially since they behave and look the same after doing that.
