I was getting bored. Then my buddy upgraded like 20 new weapons for me to play with. Then I started getting bored again so I had him upgrade like 20 more new weapons for me to play with. When I get bored again I’ll just have him upgrade 20 more weapons looool

I mean my library tells me Last Played: March 16 and I haven't been that busy so yeah, I'd say I got bored with it a couple weeks ago.

I've done everything there is to do up to Caelid. I went a few places early to get some nice things. Sitting at 125 or so hours and lvl 105. I see 75 more + I'll enjoy the dlc in NG+ with everything available to me.

I did a lot of exploring without guides. Don't ruin your game. Check them out after the fact.

With games as big as this that can take 100-200 hours, once finished, it is probably good idea to play another one for a while and forget Elden Ring meanwhile. It would feel mightily boring to replay fresh another 200 hours of the same content.
Instead can try another game, and come back later. Plus there will be maybe a new DLC by then which makes the prospect of replaying it more enticing. FROM are known to release DLCs in quite short periods. I bet in a year from now there will be a big DLC already coming.

^^^This. Just need another new game. I only had Sons of the Forest on my radar and it got delayed. :steamsad:
yeah I did literally everything to do in the first five days and ive been playing daily since to try to find new things and Ive honestly found nothing besides a few repetitive dungeons. The PVP is fun when you arent getting ganked.

I don't think a month is a lot for an open world game like Elden Ring. I can most likely find myself doing multiple playthrough of different builds and different quest paths.

This is how I felt about the Witcher 3. I just couldn't stop playing until I felt like I've exhausted all of the fuel. That could take maybe 3 months? I don't really know.

But I must acknowledge that these mostly singeplayer open world games will eventually run out of juice. It's inevitable because there isn't anything that could keep the majority of the players, who play the PVE aspects, continuously going for a longer period of time.
Its all just subjectivity and what the player thinks is fun. To contrast what you said I tried playing the Witcher 3 on console for almost the same reason a lot of people are trying Eldenring "its the rpg everyone is talking about", i'm not going to sit here and call Witcher 3 a bad game but i couldn't even complete a playthrough because I got too bored with it even on deathmarch. But as dumb as it may sound to others i'm 420+ hours into Eldenring and I can see myself going past 1000 but thats because I lean a lot towards souls games. I think we will see the numbers on this game drop off eventually but that "core" souls fanbase will always still play through the game relentlessly these games never really "go away".

I am getting a lot of burn out since I've been combing everything extremely thoroughly before moving to new regions, but I'm determined to finish because I've never abandoned a first playthrough in a Fromsoft game and I don't plan to start now.

Next time I do a playthrough I'm probably going to wiki more to cut out a lot of the dungeons that give me things that I'm never going to use such as spirit ashes. This game tempts you to check everywhere because you don't want to miss something that could perfect your build, but I reckon I would enjoy the pacing a lot more if it didn't.

As in all other dark souls 1-3, I myself try to develop characters that do justice to their class.

Example: Knight only with one-handed weapon and meduim shield, complete plate armor. Possibly a small heal spell.

Warrior with all weapons one-handed, two-handed, two weapons - powerstance. If shield then a wooden shield. Armor chain and leather. No magic or invocation.

Mage/astrologer. Only cloth armor, small or medium shield. Weapons only staves or daggers, crossbow allowed. Any spells or even spell invocations, dragon spells. But no classic cleric spells allowed.

Thief. Bandits with arcane and only light weapons including bows. Armor leather and cloth mix. Lurkers with small shield or parry dagger.

Accordingly, the attribute distribution. At the moment I have besides my current main, which is actually mixed built, 5 other classes built exactly the same way - class specific. When the main is finished, the others will be added. With clearly defined classes and skills. This will be a challenge... replay value for someone like me guaranteed.

So boredom so not possible for the next few years. Just like DS III or DS II. :estusfull:

I did my one run and started NG+ and got bored, not even interested in PvP which is the only thing that kept me coming back in DS3. I got my monies worth though with 170ish hours.
i 100% the achievements. Still collecting items.

Stressed rather, optional content is so 'no fun allowed' i've been ragequitting every 3rd dungeon :deadweight:
