You do realize it is OK for that to happen right?
Like not every game must persist in perpetuity... aka "live service" games
This is how I felt about the Witcher 3. I just couldn't stop playing until I felt like I've exhausted all of the fuel. That could take maybe 3 months? I don't really know.
But I must acknowledge that these mostly singeplayer open world games will eventually run out of juice. It's inevitable because there isn't anything that could keep the majority of the players, who play the PVE aspects, continuously going for a longer period of time.
The tip not to get bored on it is:
1st dont rush the game
2nd dont spend like 8hours playing it only
3rd try other character builds min-max your damage
4th have an active community who's asking for help
Probably interesting with Rune Level 1 run but not now.
This. 120-something hours in the game. Finished it. Satisfied with my ending. Content.
Waiting on DLC(s), and then I'll play the same game (not Journey 2), finish them up, and then contemplate if I want to start another journey.
Not "bored" at all.
It is something like Skyrim. Too big and intimidatiing (take up a lot of hours 100-200 which I am sure not everyone has available as wish to have). Not that many players actually finish Skyrim....mostly fool around or abandon later when got bored...too big as well.
(even if it has pvp and coop, its the same single player campaign)
i think some people really cant see the difference between fortnite, MMOs, FPS competitive games, GTA online etc etc with open world rpgs or any single player game for that matter
this game arent made to keep a high player count, they are made to sell as much as possible (1 payment only unless is one of those games with those damn microtransactions for useless skins or progress)
