Ok if you cant remember what an npc said long enough to write it down I think you may need to get some sort of examination because that isnt normal.
if you want to help build that mod
draw a big flowchart of all the quest interactions
what causes which quests to fail
what quests depend on other quests or events to be completed
etc.
they're still working on the lore

the madness created by the RCE, I couldn't stop talking about that and said From couldn't be trusted. I still don't believe they can with their poor multiplayer infrastructure design and ignorance towards issues that affect players. sadly there are no games willing to take the risks like Fromsoft does. Not even Zelda. That video there just proves how ahead of the curve they are. Bethesda for example, what have they done to improve the genre? That genre being open world RPG.
There's a few cult classics that no company dares to try and mimic, but those would do an amazing job of helping move this genre towards something that's better than we have now. Games like Gothic, Blade of Darkness, Pathologic, Stalker. Would Bethesda take a risk to copy the lessons taught by those games and try to better the genre? Heck no! It'll be some indie, From, or one of the companies that own the IP for an open world cult classic RPG.
Elden Ring isn't an amazing game, I'd call it great. DS2, DS3, Bloodborne or Sekiro or Demon's Souls OG, none are great games. I felt Dark Souls OG was a 10 or close to it. Heck look at how greedy they are in terms of Console exclusivity. Look at how there's zero pinned threads here, a lack of a presence of a community manager. How the Elden Ring subreddit is garbage full of meme's and no real meaningful conversation. Or that From only talks via twitter and never listens. They're not a great company. I learned a lot about Japan recently. I for sure would never want to live there. Racism is prominent, even if I spoke perfect Japanese, I'd never be considered equal.
Nah Elden Ring is an 8/10 and this video I shared a ton when it came out, it's got a great section describing the RCE as well!
