Help! Death root guy turned hostile

Hi! I wanted to beat the guy in front of the building who looks like an egyptian god or something but he killed me. When I go now to the guy who eats the death roots he is going to attack me. Also went to the church to pray for absolution but it says that I don’t need it…. What can I do? Why I am not supposed to attack the guy in front of the building? Is this his bodyguard? 😃

Beat him up until he stops

The deathroot guy will attack you once during his questline to bring him the deathroot. You just have to beat him back into submission and he will go back to normal.

legit hit him a few times and he stops attacking and goes back to a friendly phase, be careful not to kill him or have summons.

Think some lore reason behind why other guy is there and my guess is they’re not friends

You can attack Kindred for runes tho. He won't like you at some point anyway. No need to wait unless you are afraid of him since he kinda can kick your butt unprepared.

And yeah dont accidently kill the deathroot guy. He is a gud guy. Very depressing lore.

The black blade gargoyle in front of the door has nothing to do with him.

devs seemed to have thought of this, I dunno about other players(or even can) but my mimic just wailed on him while we talked and did no damage, thankfully seems like devs are on that one

Nothing to do with him no. It's because Beast Clergyman get's stoned out of his mind on the deathroot and has a bad trip

Fight him and don't kill him and don't die. Time will allow him to snap out of it and you'll be rewarded.
