I tried everything to reinstalling the game and verifying the files and still comes up with save data is corrupted.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Kha_xpAQMM
There is this guide that I followed but now when ever I try load my save the game just crashes but it seemed to work for others, I have been looking all day for fixes and this is the only thing I could find but for me it did not work, Was hoping someone here would have any idea on how to solve the issue other than just "Making a new save from scratch"
%USERPROFILE%/AppData/Roaming/EldenRing/
into the bar and press enter, it will open a folder where your saves are stored, there should be a folder with some random numbers there...
You need to save that folder or at least the files inside, and we can go from there
Edit: update link

it's 3 files, zipped up. i have not tested this, but as far as I am aware, you need to have all 3 of these in the same directory/location... so unzip them where ever you wish to work from.
You need that save backed up that I mentioned. Then you will have to go into Elden Ring and delete the old save data you just copied, if you cannot do it from within the game, you can go delete that save folder you opened and delete it.
Next you will need to go into Elden Ring and make a new game, that will be where we copy the save data into. After that new save is made, you can just exit out, you don't need to do any quests or anything. Now for the save copier part:
When you launch the copier, it will have a "Source file" input and a "Destination file" input, the source will be the save you just backed up, so click the browse button, and locate the file you backed up. The file itself you are looking for is typically named something like "ER0000.sl2", click on that file and select the open button to set the source file. The program will take a minute to read the file, so give it some seconds, mine took about 4 or 5 before the input box showed up, after that, you will have to browse for the new save for the destination and select the file name in there, likely the "ER0000.sl2" file again.
After that shows up, there is a drop down where your old characters name should appear, if you had multiple characters in that old save, click the drop down and select the one you wish to back up. On the right side drop down, you can click the drop down and select an empty slot to copy to, it will have a list, probably with the new character you created in the new save and then Slot 2, slot 3, slot 4 all the way to Slot 10, just pick the next Slot, likely slot 2, the green Copy button should light up now, and then press copy, your character should now be in the Character list now, next time you launch Elden Ring, and you can delete the temporary new character if you wish. The old save should now be restored and you can use it again.
In case the old link doesn't work, here is another:

I forgot to add, there will be a backup file that needs to be deleted, typically "ER0000.bak" in the same file where the legit game save is, you will need to delete that file. Give that a try and see if that gets it working for you, I apologize that I left it out. Also the link for the github does have a release version out now, so if that gets updated, you nay wish to grab that.
The page with some info is here:
https://github.com/BenGrn/EldenRingSaveCopier
The releases section is here:
https://github.com/BenGrn/EldenRingSaveCopier/releases
Click on the section that says "Assets" and apparently you only need the "EldenRingSaveCopy.exe" file to get it to work properly. The other files must have been extra for my system, from compiling the source code locally. Mine was a debug version, the version they released seems to run slightly faster...
