What's the best way to get through Lava?

Rolling?

I tried Bloodhound Step and Quickstep and they don't work, and I can't seem to run through it. Hmm, I haven't tried hopping.

Looking towards the screen while standing still and pressing dodge, so that you jump backwards

Not sure why but I'm able to run through it just fine. Bloodhound step worked when I couldn't.

…they work. You either have too low vigor, fire resist, both, or low blood circulation to the brain.

Come on man. There’s only one place that doesn’t have safe spaces to rest at in lava and there’s no rewards hidden out there.

this. backstepping is good and don't need a noob META weapon art.

Equip so much armor that your character gets Overloaded. Then simply walk slow like a complete badbutt embracing the fire

Slap on +2 Flamedrake Talisman and Fire Protection incantation and just take a nice afternoon stroll

Couple areas.
Volcano you have 3 or 4 spots where you need to wade through it.
It really doesn't deal all that much damage.

If u use the Black Knife Armor, u can run in lava + u can use Fire Protection incantation for lowering the damage

this is kind of late game, but if you manage to lock yourself in for the frenzied flame ending by following Hyetta's questline and meeting the 3 fingers you'll be able to run through lava and even the scarlet rot pool before Malenia

I use claws with quickstep to get through it faster.

The lava damage is quite forgiving in this installment though..

- Remembers days running trough lava chucking estus like it's oxygen

Backstepping worked well for me, seemed to be slightly faster than rolling. You just turn around facing where you come from and dodge.. dodge.. dodge..
