Knot tears, heirloom talismans, and Godrick = 3 minutes of +20str/20dex on a boss and +10/10 exploring. Also Keen and Heavy will ignore at least 10 base points on the unused stat so you benefit from 30 extra levels.

By the time you collect those item buffs, you will have enough levels to ignore keen and heavy entirely. Quality builds are more relevant in Elden Ring than any game before.

The return in investing into a quality build doesn't seem to add up until you have 60 in both STR and DEX.

Late & end game, sure.
Early or even mid game, no thanks.

maybe versus a heavy/keen build. but what about the affinity infusions that now scale with dex or str? Pretty sure you will always be underperforming against someone who goes pure str/dex and makes the lightning/fire infusion. Some Ytuber did a spreadsheet thing I saw that explained that quality builds underperform now, don't know if correct but the way it was presented made sense. Think it was Scott Jung or something like that

At a glassy soul level 60. Okay not early but not exclusively late-game either. It might be hard to get the heirlooms before 60 anyway.
