Just lost a 1 year relationship with my girlfriend because of elden ring

Feels good man. Kept ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about me not putting much effort in our relationship and for a time she understood my gaming addiction and put up with me playing for almost 500 hours and just as I was starting to feel the burn from the game and slowly coming out from the grave of a burn out, she then dumps me.

I'm too old and jaded to say all that lovey dovey ♥♥♥♥ to convince her i loved her. Gaming has been a passion of mine for long time so it's somewhat a priority of human relationships but we did some amazing things together. But no value was lost. She was the only girl i thought who would of stayed with me in my mid thirties. I felt like was a different man before Elden Ring. But I guess she's too immature to understand a man's passion.

Thanks, my guy. I'm never going to let anything interfere with my passion. Thing is i made time in for her as time allowed me but my efforts weren't enough for her. I told her I can straddle the line and talk to her in small spurts while gaming at the same time and i did. Imagine working 12 hours night shift and coming back home in the morning to sleep and her whining about me not paying any attention to her that entire day. Combine that with gaming, as well.

im working 12 h shifts myself for 7 years. ill give you a tip. stop gaming or at least reduce it man. you can live without games for sure, but being single your whole life will ♥♥♥♥ you up for sure. i know some virgins will disagree with me but if you want a healthy life pls stop or reduce gaming and gift your time to your family and friends. wont regret it.

I don't know why this thread has brought out a slew of responses that reduce women to attention-whoring golddiggers, encourages using children as a tool to entrap them, and frankly presents some disgusting and bizzare takes on relationships, spouses, and children in general.

OP has stated they are addicted to the game, allowed it to absorb their life to a great degree, and notes that their girlfriend left them (after an extended period) because she felt OP was failing to prioritize the relationship...which he essentially admits to doing. I can't possibly see how that very reasonable and apparently long-suffering response is getting spun into these gross, incelish caricatures of woman's behavior which the thread has become rife with.

OP, regardless of whether you would have preferred to keep the relationship or are happy with the outcome, I encourage you to reach out and seek professional help in managing your addiction. I worry that it may cause other, more severe problems down the road, ones which having it under control might prevent.

Yeah man, that's harsh (I work overnights too, and do a lot of overtime). Romantic relationships are hard work, and some people can be really selfish, sometimes without realizing it or meaning to be. I'm sure you have also had your own faults and shortcomings that could be fairly called out, but it sounds like you made the effort and it wasn't enough. Maybe she'll find what she's looking for elsewhere and be better for it. Maybe you'll come to meet a better girl yourself. But in the mean time we both know you'll enjoy what you have regardless!

Oh, sir. I was born and raised in America and she liked to trash talk America time to time. I don't have enough patriotic pride in my country to call it my own to be offended by her remarks of it, but she was a good conversationalist none the more. But yeah, I just gotta find someone who truly loves me for me but being in my thirties makes it less appealing.

I opened my heart once again and had some hope for love and look where that got me. I expected it not last and I wish it would of, so it's less impact on my mental state. I can't be broken. However, for her . . . she was crying and i was trying to console her in my own autistic ways. She wanted me to either try to be a better boyfriend to her or go our separate ways. I didn't choose the latter, either. She made her own choice after i repeatedly said I will try. In between I told her the Elden Ring marathon has come to a stop.

But I've been married...I couldn't care at all when we broke up...it was sad because she was crying...I told her tonremember the fun times we had together(hehe)...It was the games fault....id skip out on house dates because I was playing...Id wake up late to hang out because I was up all night.therenwerena couple times that we didn't see anyone for weeks..but I let it be because I didn't wanna commit and I knew I'd I let it go she'd be better off in the longrun..I just didn't find it that exciting

You've gotta ask why is the game more fun? Why do you prefer it...I mean give giving a break a shot and spend some time with her...but always ask if your enjoying yourself..if you still prefer the video game...well that's a deep answer
