60 fps cap on PC is unacceptable
For a big profile release like this in 2022, a 60 fps cap on PC is inexcusable.

It shows either laziness or incompetence.

I don’t care about console HW. This game is also sold as a PC game. There is no reason why 144 fps could not be achievable.

Heh I wonder if their engine is still based on FPS in regards to the duration of the animations. I'd bet it is.

The glitches in skyrim were hilarious.

Why is 144 instead of 60 a relevant difference? What 144 gives you that 60 won't?

84 extra frames per second so that much of a smoother viewing experience?

Please try to first experience 144 fps or even higher and compare it to 60 fps. You will feel the difference and won’t want to go back. You have to experience it to believe it.

It’s 2022. To have the hardware capable of supporting this and a bunch of lazy devs who can’t be asked to write proper code is frustrating.

How can you price such a game at full AAA range and be so lazy?

Only those who never experienced it would ask such questions.

Anyway, I assure you there will be a mod to unlock the fps. Although it might get you banned (is not the case in DS3) and probably will cause bugs if the framerate is too high, if the engine is still the same.

I heard that DS3 and Sekiro have no framerate-related glitches if you unlock them with their respective mods, never tried it myself though so take it with a grain of salt

Be careful, the fan boys will get mad at you. If you say anything about FPS caps or lack of Ultra Wide support they will start breathing really heavily and pounding on their keyboards in a fit of rage. :papyruswacky:

This sadly is very true but I have no idea why. Is it really a lot to ask that companies consider PC releases separate from console releases? Seems fairly often games on PC are limited in various ways to accommodate consoles.

I honestly have no idea what so ever... The only thing I can think is their machines cant handle higher FPS and they cant afford Ultrawide monitors so they dont want their games to support it out of jealousy? Its the only rational explanation I can think of.

I dunno. Definitely an unpopular opinion here, but I think 60 fps is fine for 3rd person action games provided it's a solid 60.

I do have a 144hz monitor and a PC that can play games at that framerate, but for games in this genre I'm satisfied with 60 provided there's not noticeable drops. FPS games is where I tend to really notice it being less smooth at 60 vs 144.
