Which controller should I buy?

I played Dark souls 1 on a PS2 controller that doesn't work anymore so I played Dark souls 2&3 on keyboard. In ds 3 the controls weren't bad...just wasnt really ideal and from what it looks like there will be much more options in elden ring. So I'm looking to get a controller for it but don't know anything about controllers....any pro gamer tips and suggestions?

get an xbox controller, they just work seamlessly with PC, if you use things like the ps4 or ps5 sometimes they act weirdly atleast in FROM SOFTWARE games. and get a wireless adapter if you can for your xbox controller not necessary though

That´s what i use also.
Now i will buy a new one, because of the "get good" my B button is oversmashed kkkkkkk i need a replacement because the rubber doesnt make it go up faster after pressing it like , when it was a new controler.

Since you will buy a new one can you give me more specific recommendation. Because I really have no idea what to look for.

Just buy the common one. that is not overpriced. I use the xbox360 with cable works like a charm, i do not have the xbox one controler.

I'd suggest being wary of cheap 360 controllers on amazon since they are cheap and can break easily. Once i bought a total of 3 360 controllers and in the span of around a month each they would break one of their analog stick and start drifting; to be specific, there was an area near the "resting place" of the analog where the controller would send a full input, instead of 0 or near 0 one.

Now, i don't know where you live, but in EU 360 are 20€, while a one is 60€, and the one trust me is way more durable. The only thing you need to worry if you buy the "official" cabled one is that it weight a ton, and while the large surface make this not an ergonomic problem, the fact that the cable is a detachable usb-c without a guide or any hold means that if you pull the controller in the right way you'll bend the port and effectively break it.

I mean, it has a block on the top part, which i guess is something. The price though, 50$ seems good.

XBOX El;ite 2 is generally considered one of the best it comes with 3 adjustments for stick tension..multliple magnetic sticks in different lengths and finger pad designs. 3 profiles in its memory. Mine I paid $230 a couple of years ago for it.

+1 I own the controller. Price tag is not for the faint of heart.

Switch Pro Controller worked really good with Hades, but I'd say to be sure go with an Xbox Controller as those will definitely work.
