Is the deluxe edition really worth the extra ?
The Deluxe Edition includes:
• ELDEN RING (full game)
• Digital Artbook & Original Soundtrack
Allows players to enjoy viewing concept art and listening to in-game music of ELDEN RING exclusive to the Deluxe Edition

Your money, your choice guys, just saying Is the digital artbook and soundtrack really worth a extra £15 ? If it were a physical artbook and soundtrack on CD then say 'yes' 100% worth the extra but as far as digital artbooks go, no.

Anyway, im looking forward to this game never the less.

I mean it would be cool if they could ship the soundtrack on CD for the sake of collecting, but having the soundtrack available to load onto my phone or whatever is fine to me. 15 bucks to be able to add the games audio score to my game music library is nice. Besides, no physical edition for PC in general is a bummer but I want to support the continued development and release of from software titles. Been playing them since the days of King's Field. The only thing I am adamant on is Elden ring needs to have Moonlight, it's tradition. Can't break tradition.

How are digital art-books? Do they act similar to a PDF? I've heard great things about Bloodborne's physical art-books. Which is obviously a From Software gamebook but that is a physical edition not digital.
I haven't pre-ordered yet for several reasons firstly waiting on the RCE exploit news, and because I haven't decided whether or not the digital art-book is worth it. Because I've never had one before. To me music might be worth some of the money but definitely not $20 dollars by itself, United States currency. Plus I know I'll be able to hear it over YouTube eventually.
Thanks for any advice and sorry for the short question rant.

@Gman

Always in my opinion, I like looking at 2D images of development and whatever else they throw in there. Think of it as a poster of your fav character but a ton of different ones 2

If the Digital Artbook is like the one from Sekiro, that would be extra nice tho.

@Scroll Thief
Thanks are there any limitations to the art-books, can I legally print a page and hang it on my wall?

@Varit the Lowly Tarnished
I'm guessing the Sekiro art-book was as awesome as the game then?

Edit: I will not confirm or deny Fromsofts legal polices ;)

You access to it via Steam and it's like a program, can't remember if it has music tho, but it's cool and the images are nice. It's not 'just a PDF'.

Already got that all with the collector's edition lmao. It's up to you if you really want to pay for the ost (might release on Spotify, as all previous Fromsoft games basically have) and if you want a pdf of the Artbook.
Pre ordering also doesn't mean much as the guide seems to be made for new players and the gesture is unlockable later on in the game

... The music you already have in the game files and NFT's... lol.
>Calling a PDF which is available to everyone getting that edition with an artbook an "NFT"
>Same Artbook is released as hardcover in collector's editions.

Did you learn a new word and with it not what it actually means?
There are too many mfs who are hyping NFT garbage, digital artbooks were a thing before those things were even conceived. Don't give others as bright as you the idea of this being the case for a game that completely doesn't try to jump in on the NFT ""hype""

@GeneralClayman
There is no collector's edition for PC, and at that point the price goes up significantly for the console versions. If these two points were not an issue then I would totally go for it.

@Goblin
I hand't considered the NFT's argument, although aren't NFT's going to be more like in-game skins rather than book? I may be wrong on this comment because I barely understand what NFT's actually are I find them confusing.

One thing I will ask which kind of devalues the digital deluxe edition is... Will there be a physical art-book sold separately from the game later?

??? There is a collector's edition for PC. you get everything the console versions have (steel box) but instead of a disc you get a key for the game. No idea what platform and how to activate it though, I take it's for steam since they don't sell on GOG or EGS.

I can't seem to find a collector's edition for PC on bandai's store. Is it only available in specific countries? Or am I missing something?
GeneralClayman 27 ENE 2022 a las 7:39 p. m.
It's stated as PC Download on the BANDAI site
https://store.bandainamcoent.eu/eu/product/679393/elden-ring-collector-s-edition-pc
Of course sold out, somehow an online retailer here managed to get a few orders trough because I was able to get a preorder for it 2 days after initial BANDAI release.
