Huge red AOE

Summoned a player and it looked like they had a trident type of staff of some kind. They slammed it down and did a huge red AOE. It didn't look like fire, but blood. We were in the blood lake and it murdered entire groups of frogmen in 1 shot. What was that?

Mohg's staff. Super neat weapon, it's gaining notice by the majority playerbase now. It's basically a slow spear that has poise breaking ability. The AOE can also hit through walls, as can a few other WA's. Downside? You are very vulnerable to ranged attacks and fast weapons. You can fire it 3 times, so you need to move out of the way before all 3 shots fire.
