Anyone else getting screen tearing on the Map?
I played this on PC before they added the new npc tracker icon on the map and I do not remember there being insanely noticeable screen tearing on the map especially around the edges of those new icons. My specs are rtx 2060 super 8 gb, 16 gb ram, Ryzen 7 3700x window 10 I did a ddu of my driver's and did a full clean install of the driver's and experience. The screen tearing happens regardless of any v sync setting on Nvidia Control Panel I have a 144 hz monitor with g sync so I don't think I should be having any tearing at all. Is this a personal thing or is this happening to everyone else?

Video of what I am talking about involving the icons screen tearing only in the map yet nothing in game. I am only using nvidia recording as a way to show you I dont use it when gaming. The issues happen regardless. Also If the quality in the beginning looks crap wait till the 17 sec mark and if it doesnt help just click it to go to youtube instead of using the steam preview of the video.

I have a build with a 3700X, RTX 2070 Super & 1440p 144Hz G-Sync monitor. Playing at 1440p 60 fps mix of high and max settings and there's been zero stuttering / tearing on the map.

That's a weird occurrence tho, have you tried enabling V-Sync (through the GPU control panel) ?

Just copy and paste from another post someone had, just spreading the word so more people can get this game playable.

Had the same problem, pc more than capable of running the game but had frame rate/stutters for no reason.

For me it was a combo of two things, first and most importantly was getting it to start without EAC. FromSoft clearly just threw that ♥♥♥♥ on at the last minute due to problems with servers in their other games and it shows. Fairly simple workaround, just rename your game exe. to "start_game_protected" and rename the regular start_game_protected to something else. I chose "EAC_sucks_balls".

Only caveat with that is obviously you have to play it offline, using the in-game offline option won't work nearly as well cause EAC will still turn on. Personally don't have a problem with this as I find all the random messages (most just trolling anyway) more annoying than anything else.

If you want to play without EAC but with online functionally there are some fairly easy workarounds you can google. I won't post them here cause I don't want them possibly patched. EAC has to be one of the worst anti-cheat softwares available (both from a resource and effectiveness standpoint) and it's a wonder why they chose it out of all the other options.

Second was turning off forced Vsync. Not all pc's have a problem with vsync but mine always has. Go into nvidia/amd software and overide game setting and turn it off. This is a fairly common problem and the fact FromSoft forced it on (as well as no widescreen support/fps cap, which you can also google for a really easy fix) just goes to show they still make ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ports to pc for some reason.

I tried off on and fast doesn't make a difference. The screen tearing is only in the map. I tried borderless and full too.

Enable v-sync through nvidia/amd options. Works for me.
