Bell Bearings not carrying over in NG+
WHY just why.
So that i have to get to farum again to get a weapon upgraded to current game tier needs on every new game? this i so stupid, it was dumb in DS3 and it's still dumb today.

you should farm and stock smithing stones in NG before going to NG+

Why would they if the NPCs are back in the world?

Seems like the issue was with you, not the game.

idk why they would? everything gets reset and some of the bell bearings come from people who are now alive again..

This was also the case in previous titles; I imagine the same with whetstones. Makes sense really; We've always had to stock up on materials ahead of starting NG+.

According to Wiki, whetstones carry over, so you don't need to re-collect those.

That's the design. It's been that way in the entire DS series.

But really, what's the issue? You've beaten the game once and have leveled gear and stats. Should be easy peasy.

I was lucky enough to stockpile large amounts of smithing stones before starting NG+. So I was able to upgrade my 2nd weapon (unique so 1 / playthrough) straight away instead of waiting until I find enough stones to upgrade it.

yh i get it but just farm and carry over a ton of smithing stones. by the time your ready for ng+ you should be high enough level to not care about runes and just sink them into stones

Dunno why would you keep armor and stuff if enemies are back in the world?

Seems like the issue was with your logic, not op

Whetstones do carry over.

The issue isn't that it's hard, the issue is that it's inconvenient and disincentivizes experimentation if I have to plan ahead for multiple full weapon upgrades just in case I feel like doing them.

Dunno, why would you keep player level if we are starting over again?

Seems like it is just one of those "by design things"
Ronin Cross Mar 21, 2022 @ 9:16am
what if you keep them in your inventory and never turn them in?
