Trying to pick between two different curved swords.
Alright, so I have a situation. I'm mostly Dex and I have two sword options, first, the scavengers curved sword which has STR D and Dex D.

On the other hand, there's the Bandit's Curved Sword which has Str D and Dex C.

So my question is- what's worth more at the end of the day? Will I get more use out of the Scavengers curved sword if I level up both STR and Dex, or will I get the same sorta damage from Bandit's Curved Sword with just Dex?

Use bandit's and level dex. Also infuse it for keen

I heard the Bandit's Curved Sword is a pretty solid weapon. Go with that.

Upgrading the weapon at some point will also upgrade your Str/Dex/ ash on that weapon so either is plenty viable for both str. and dex at a high upgrade +. Bandit's will scale for dex more on this same situation because it started with C. So you can expect like a +18 to make it a B.

Makes sense, so effectively I'm not losing out either way?

Well you will OVERALL lose out in Dps at end game status, on a rather small scale IF your str/ dex stats ON character are balanced. It will not be a lot of dps from what I heard long as you have points well in both stats.

I'd say use the longest one, I'm not sure which has more reach though bandits or grossmesser

Got it, thanks Smokes!! Also, is there any way to easily tell which curved swords are longer, faster, etc?

Yes, test the reach of the weapon against NPCs. I do not have that huge 'vet exp' to tell you flat out, the basic great sword may have/ or had the best reach post nerf. IDK

But! You absolutely can easily figure this out by just hitting npcs/ at length. I learn/ test this on horseback myself by seeing if the 'hold down attack' will cut through multiple npcs at an angle efficiently.
