The empty "fifth" slot for talismans practically guarantees a DLC

I'm assuming that empty square will be filled by a boss that drops a Talisman slot.

Something is weird though, there's another empty square to the right of your armor set. I can't imagine what that would be if a DLC introduced some kind of new armor slot.

It would be the first game to have included more than 4 talisman slots (previously rings), I don't think its impossible but very unlikely since 4 is already op enough since the days of DS1 we had only 2

they should add just one ring slot there that's only purpose is to give you a good resistant to any one status. imagine how versatile people would get with their builds to work around that.

I think the great runes are a better evidence; the empty slots next to armour and talismans is likely just because some things in that menu are on a row of four, so those that aren't will naturally have gaps.

However, the great runes (as seen when you apply them at a grace) appear on a grid with two rows of 6, with the 6 available in the game taking up the entirety of the first row. In other words, there's absolutely no reason for them to have added that second row at all.

Could just be they didn't plan out the interface well enough. But I would say a DLC is all but guaranteed since every Dark Souls had DLC, and this is basically Dark Souls 4. Even if it wasn't planned as well as this has been selling you know Bamco is demanding it.

definitely possible as this game has been easier in most souls like aspects so they might give us something extra later. some will love it and some people are going to complain 100%

Ok cool...now that you've given an utterly useless reply. Do you have any ideas that would explain the fifth armor slot? I think he very well could be right, DLC would explain it. One possibility any way.

Well thats the most dishonest response you could have made. They are saying its grasping at straws to assume having a talisman slot is suggesting dlc. You complain about others being toxic but you misrepresent their points in order to try to dunk on them. Seems like if you are looking for a toxic person you may want to get a mirror.

This is interesting and I did not know this, not having killed all the bosses yet. Good observation.

Wow. You literally prove my entire point. I wasn't "trying to dunk" on anyone. Why can't you just respond by saying, "yeah, it's a legitimate thing to wonder about, the fifth talisman slot might mean more content is coming, and yeah that guy was being a jerk."

Some other things I'm guessing/anticipating as part of DLC:

More torch colors

More variations of ashes of war (like for example, there could be a Sacred Slash, a Rot Slash, etc. just like there are variations of Blood Slash)
