Motion sickness?
I was (and still am) very excited to play Elden Ring, I bought game today, but after playing for few hours, i started to feel very sick. I stopped playing, started to feel better, decided to boot game again, and started to feel sick again.

Does anyone else has this problem? Is there a graphics setting that might cause this? Should i see doctor and get help? What si happening to me? HELP.

Disable motion blur and depth of field.

Like you should in Every. Single. Game. because your eyes do that automatically.

Also disabling anti-aliasing can help considering they haven't stated _which AA they are using. If it's FXAA the game will look better with it off, in addition to helping your motion sickness.

never had motion sickness but i can see why this game in particular can cause it, since the camera never really stay properly centered, its floaty, it constantly auto rotates, and theres many microstutter issues going on that dont help this case.

its likely TAA, better to keep it on unless u play on resolutions higher than 1080p, since TAA removes all sort of shimmering which would only induce more motion sickness if turned off

The Red Wolf boss was only slightly hard because he made the camera spin around like Darkbeast Paarl.

Games with trash performance can cause that, frame fluctuations and bad frame pacing and such, not everyone's sensitive to it.

Did the advices you got helped?

here is what happens :
the motion sickness is caused by the damned camera @op, its because your eyes constantly have to readjust, refocus due to the way the camera slowly and laggly moves around your character , the problematic fov and aa/blur play a part toom also the excesive shake worsens everything but alas ,but the camera is the main culprit, or more likely its delayed movements unfortunately.

start with your favorite search engine look for elden ring mods, there are a few that adress this issue, see if those help , other than that its up to the creators of this game to adress this issue wich is present is games wich are not primarly targeting the pc crowd. ( but thats not a rule ) :steamsad:

i think flawless widescreen can increase FOV, but needs offline mode/EAC removed so i like using it together with Special K which does that for u

Thank you all for an advice, i disabled motion blur, depth of field, dowloaded "camera fix mod" and "Remove chromatic aberration mod" and switched game from fullscreen to borderless (it seems like it reduced some stutters), played for few hours today and everything is ok. Not sure what actually helped tho, but than you all.
