i don't think this is the game for you
she is literaly early game
not even a mid-tier encounter
normal enemies mid to end tier will tear you apart
it is odd that some fights put a respawn right outside the boss room, and some they make you actually run a little bit. my only real complaint on the fight is when she summons something, my lock on decides to switch target to it for some unknown reason
When she summons her illusions, back away. Kill fast if it's wolves. Only the bloodhound will be an issue. Giant and dragon is easy to doge and avoid. Remember, when it lifts off, count the three wing flaps. Then dodge as it dives.
Besides that it's a matter of casually moving left and right and you get in close to hit her. Wehn she does the moon thing, it's a free hit when she comes down. Then run before it explodes.
I did die to her a few times myself at first. But once I got her attacks figured out she was so easy. The spells can hit hard but they're easy to avoid. Don't move "backwards" from them. Move "sideways". Trying to move back from tracking spells will get the player killed. Sideways though? They miss. Just go a bit forward as well.
As for the bonfire, it's actually a short walk. It's the lift that's annoying.
Souls vets: First time?
try sprinting sideways and then towards her when the homing stuff comes out. should be safe doing that. then wait until it's between a hard summon to get her.
also she does summon wolves.
probably easiest boss in the game.
Phase 1 just run around and look out for stuff that can hit you
you can also hide behind pillars.
I was surprised how easy it is to evade all kind of stuff just by running in circles
Phase 2
All her magic can be avoided just by running in 8 shapes.
Summons can be brutal but here is the deal
you dont have to fight them ! run around for 30 seconds and they will just dissapear
she has low health and a few hits kill her.
I am surprised someone struggles on one of the easiest bosses in all souls games
The only thing that's "confirmed" is that you assume and speak out of ignorance. I'm sure plenty of people use katanas, but plenty of people also don't. For one thing bleed gets old (yea, I said it).
Carian Knight's Sword. Combine with it with the Carian shield (or a great shield). The tracking spells will do chip damage if they hit, but they're easy enough to dodge. More useful against the summons.
Just don't keep the shield up when trying to close the gap with Rennala. Block, stop blocking, sprint to her.
