Spell hyper armor and bad lightning spells

It seems certain spells really need hyper armor. The primary examples being the a lot of the big lighting spells like Lansseax's Glaive being a primary example. Either a damage buff or hyper armor would make this somewhat good. It sucks that the best faith spell in the game is one you can get after being in the game for ten minutes (lighting spear).

To be honest pretty much all of the lightning spells suck. They are always the coolest looking but always have terrible designs, subpar damage, no hyper armor, long cast times, and so on. By terrible design I mean things like ancient dragons lighting spear. All they needed to do was make a fancy red lightning spear spell. Instead they made this weird spell which has no use. It's honestly just a shame.

Just a bump to say I agree, the best lightning spell by far is Ancient LIghtning Spear... But not the spell, which is ♥♥♥♥, but the weapon ability on the spear from Leyndell. I dont know why that abilty isn't a spell, cuz the actual spells are useless as hell

100%!! Personally my biggest problem is with lansseax’s glaive. It should just function like adulas moonblade. It has incredibly similar effects while one has decent cast time and the other is hot garbage

Hyper armor on casting and maybe a little bit faster cast time would be great. One of the reasons why I switched from faith casting build to sorcery in ng+ really

It's more hilarious when you realise a proper Red Lightning Spear exists....as a AoW on a particular weapon....
