ELDEN RING
Best/worst bosses list
Curious to see everyones worst/favorite boss list. Mine is:

Best:

1. Radagon

This fight is just epic on every level. Fighting the character you've been hearing about since the start of the game, the first character ever seen in any ER footage, all while the ER main theme plays over the fight. This combined with the fight being a fair and balanced fight with very flashy and cool moves easily makes this my favorite boss in the game

2. Radahn

Even though pre nerf Radahn was ridiculously crazy (I did it at level 60 with summons) he still takes the second spot for favorite boss. He is just such a cool looking boss, with very interesting lore and importance to the overall story. Fighting him with the npcs was just such an epic and cinematic experience, and all of his attacks are a apectacle to watch. To top it all off, he jumps up and becomes a meteor halfway through the fight. Just so epic. He loses some points for having some questionable hitboxes pre nerf, but they seemed to have fixed that (a bit too fixed if you ask me, but I digress).

3. God Devouring Serpent / Rykard

Adding to the pattern of epic cinematic bosses making my list, we have the Rykard boss fight. This is a gimmick fight done right. With the right moves you can nearly stunlock the boss for a large portion of the fight, rewarding good play while still keeping to its gimmick. The whole look and feel of particularly the second phase of the boss is so awesome. I get World of Warcaft Firelands vibes from it, as well as the music. That whole skull move he does with the sky going red makes it feel like the world is ending. Only griped I have with the boss is that he's kinda huge for the amount he spreads out in phase two and I got stuck in a corner a couple of times.

4. Fire Giant

This fight wasn't on my list at all until I did a second playthrough and beat him with the mimic tear + Alexander at my side. And boy, was it an epic fight for the ages. The extra health he gets plus the fact you don't get a horse add a huge amount of scale to the fight. Alexander is pretty good in the fight as well, being fairly tanky and able to to decent damage to the boss occasionally. His attacks, while sometimes annoying due to him being 10 stories tall, are easily telegraphed with movements and sounds so they are fairly easy to dodge. Phase two is really cool with the whole face chest thing and him spewing fire everywhere. Unpopular opinion, but I find he's easier in phase 2 since he can't do a whole lot to people being behind him.

5. Rennala

This one is here purely for a cinematic reason. I got big Moon Presence vibes from the second phase of the boss. The boss is also fairly easy and fair, with lots of big windows to punish and easy to dodge attacks, while being equally as punishing if you mess up.

Worst:

1. Twin Gargoyles

This boss is the only boss that I can remember that has made me rage hard enough to stop playing for the day. The boss is basically a question of "Can you burst down a gargoyle before his friend shows up?" If the answer is no, you're gonna have a really, really bad time. And since I was a spear/greatshield build, I did not have the burst damage. Not only are the really hard to get a hit in on while together due to them being huge with massive hitboxes, they decided to add poison mist to the mix so that every time you go for a hit, you're filling up that poison meter. This is the only boss that I had to level up different weapons in order to handle effectively. (Starscourge Greatswords + jump attacks).

2. Elden Beast

This boss is just frustrating. To put it simply, he won't sit still, You're gonna spend half the fight or more legging it to the other side of the arena just so he can move again 3 seconds later. This annoyance combined with attacks that are difficult to interpret at close range and the seemingly unavoidable light ball attack he does in phase 2 make this a super annoying fight.

3. Godskin Duo

We all know why this boss is here. Gank fights suck and this is one of the worst offenders. They do very high damage and have a very diverse movesets with scary moves like the Michelin Man Tire Roll that annihilates your health bar. The fight wouldn't be as bad if they didn't have so much health; it's a little egregious how much they have for the kind of fight this is. Only saving grace of this fight is the pillars you can use to get some space and the epic music.

4. Radahn (Pre-nerf)

Even though I love this fight, it still sucked the before the nerf. Being a greatshield build, this guy would constantly hit me behind my shield with his titanic hitboxes and massive damage. The first phase of the fight was usually just a cluster♥♥♥♥ with his homing arrows, making it just a tedious and punishing slog to get back to the actual fight. Unfortunately they nerfed him a little too hard and now he's way too easy.

5. Ulcerated Tree Spirit (Haligtree)

This fight is...just not good. Despite it not having a health bar at the bottom, this is essentially a boss battle. This thing has an absolutely insane health pool while doing insane damage since it's fought in the hardest area of the game. You also fight it in a relatively small area with edges all around, and I fell off more times than I'd like to admit. To top it all off, it spews scarlet rot and half the area it fights in is a scarlet rot pool. The only thing stopping this from being the worst fight in the game is the easy cheese strategy by standing on a nearby branch and shooting it with arrows.

Honorable mention:

Sellia Fallingstar Beast

This boss is just a badly designed fight for two reasons. First, the most obvious one, is that the arena is waaaay too small for this boss. It spends half of its running animation derping into a wall, and the camera frequently goes wild. Second, is that when you re-enter the arena, the boss is in the middle of an animation for some reason, so half the time you get smacked within 2 seconds of entering. Both of this combined with it being a boss you can find (accidentally) very early make it super frustrating.

I don't know... Depending by your level... If you are lvl 180 every boss become pretty easy.

This is not so much about hardest or easiest, it's just favourite and least favourite.

top 3
Dragonlord placidusax
Chadahn
Godrick the grafted tied with Rykard the apostle serpent

Bottom 3(Of the achievement bosses)
Elden Beast
Fire giant
Godskin duo
Honourable mention for valiant gargoyles, but seeing as they are completely optional they aren't as egregiously bad as the other 3

Don't forget about triple Putrid Crystallians. Arguably the worst boss in ANY Soulslike, and that's saying a lot considering how ♥♥♥♥ some bosses in non-FromSoft Soulslikes can get.
So far I have to give it to Rot worm at Hailigtree for worst boss .

- Moves sporadically making it annoying for melee to attack without taking damage first
- Really small area so constantly knocked off ledge
- Constant Scarlet Rot because he stays in rot water

I admit hes the only boss I cheesed to death by standing on the branch and using fire sling a million times just out of his range .

Worst boss:
The connection. I've been putting my sign down on Maliketh to help people and get runes, the last 11 times in a row I've been disconnected mid fight.

edit: 12th time.

I'm currently there and absolutely agree. The poison is the worst, because it has a huge range, you sometimes don't even see it and it kills very fast. I have immunity talisman and the armor with highest immunity, but it's still very fast. The strange thing is, that it can even stagger you, if you have the shield up. Summons are often dead in several seconds mostly because of the fast poison damage.
If I jump attack one gargoyle with my zweihander and poison mist is spread from the other in that direction, i'm almost dead until i'm able to move again after the animation. And I often can't recognize, in which direction is no poison.

I guess, you have to use range combat in 2.phase, but my build is mostly str and im not "gud" with bows or crossbows. Magic is also possible, but I have not much FP

One thing would make this a lot better: if the other one spawns, after the first one is dead. This would also removes the randomness and insanity of the some attack combinations, because both gargoyles are able to attack from ultra large range with instant death combos.

It's mostly a dps fight. Take the first gargoyle as far away as possible from the spawn point of the second one and try to kill it, or at least leave it with low health, before the other one reaches you. When the second one spawns, it will walk slowly towards you giving you time.

Beat the elden beast lastnight: literally the worst boss fight of any video game I've played. Way to ruin the radagon fight with this bs.

Yep, i know. I probably have to come back later. Im doing 419 damage with one R2 jump attack and I managed to stagger the first one often. But it's not enough. I felled the first one once and but got caught in an insta-death combo of the 2. Problem is also, that it's almost impossible to learn the moveset of the 2. at the moment and he seems to be a bit harder and more frenetic.
Best boss fights in Elden Ring no particular order.

Godskin Apostle, Rennala, Godrick, Godfrey first phase, Mohg (besides the forced blood loss), most of the Dragon reskins (not the ice or rot one or the one on the bridge), Falling Star Beast (in the crater not the mines), Ancestors Spirit, annnnnnnnnnnd Rykard (despite his constant barrage of skulls).

Worst bosses, no particular order.
Radagon/Elden Beast duo. Godskin Duo, Duo Crucible Knights, Malenia, Maliketh, Watch Dog Duo, Radhan, Astel, Dragonkin Soldier, Misbegotten + Crucible Knight, annnnnnnnnnd that one Crucible Knight with the one shot grab in Deeproot Depths.

Thats all I can list off the top of my head.
Worst: Fire Giant, Elden Beast, Malenia, it's kind of impressive that this game I would say has taken the top 3 spots for worst bosses in the entire series in one fell sweep.

Best: Radagon (funny that one of the best fights shows up right before one of the worst), Godfrey (another great boss right before the crap that is Elden beast), Radahn (was a cool theme and breaking the normal summon limit to just have an absolute brawl was fun + Patches in this fight)

TOGETHAAAAA
I know its subjective (glad to see other people mention that they dislike it) but fire giant has got to be one of the worst boss fights in gaming.

Best:
1. Godfrey/Horah Loux- I think Phase 1 with Godfrey is better, especially with the arena wide stomp that really lays the pressure on but also because they kinda show you the fight in advance with spirit Godfrey before phase two turns him into a beast who will suplex you for well over 1k damage
2 and 3. Malenia/pre nerf Rahdahn- These two can flip between 2 and 3 because when you fight these guys they feel like the strongest demigods hands down but also the way you deal with them is opposite. For Rahdahn it becomes a raid where you and 10 dudes work together to bring him down whereas with Maleinia if you don't have an op summon (i.e. mimic tear) help is a hindrance because she will just heal off of them. All of this being said it is probably better that rahdahn was nerfed since he was gate-keeping Nokron which is an awesome zone that everyone should get access to.
4. Lich dragon Fortnitesex or whatever it is- I love the static charge he puts on you that for me completely separates him from all of the dragons that he shares some moves and a model with.
5.Margit/Morgott- When you first meet him hes a great boss that challenges you to either git gud or upgrade your weapons acting as a literal gatekeeper that forces you to engage with the game without stopping you from playing it like Gundyr would if you couldn't beat him. Then he shows up right before the capital to remind you of who he is just in time for re-rematch where he goes God mode on you in the capital. I would say that Morgott is the last boss in the game where you can take more than 2 hits from him (Level vigor jokes here) which makes deaths to him feel more fair than like Maliketh who will do a 5 hit combo that kills you in two hits.
Honorable mention Maliketh- He is super cool and his acrobatic movement all around his arena makes a good contrast to his first phase where his grounded beast incantations take him from tied to the earth to soaring through the air.
Worst:
1. Godskin Duo- I love both of these bosses separately and if they were both unique bosses that didn't get 3/4 different fights each they would take Maliketh's honorable mention. I'm not unique in this opinion so im not gonna spell it out except to say that they read imputes on your heals to hit you perfectly with that fireball into fireball bs.
2. All tree spirits and avatars- When I fought my first Tree avatar I was like oh thats a cool reference to DS1 I wonder whats at the other Erdtrees...... Needless to say the fact that there are like 20 of each of these only contributes to how much I hate grew to hate them.
3. Erdtree Watchdog Gank- On there own Erdtree watch dogs just like the Godskin boys are very interesting due to their strange set of attacks that give them a very freaky feel to them. But 2 of them?? Kill me. Unlike a fight like Orenstein and Smough the two enemies move at the same speed and use mostly the same moves so separating them to punish attacks is super hard and in this case mega unfun. Then again that may have been because I had 20k runes in the room
4. All crysallion fights- Whether they are a gank or a single one the mechanic where my +18 sword does less damage than my unupgraded battle hammer doesn't feel good because as far as I know no other enemy really has significant resistance to different physical damage types. I'm not against the idea, in general, I just think that if it only happens once ever it kinda detracts from the idea.
5. Flying Dragon Agheel- I don't know if they fixed this yet but every time I fought this boss he would always fly up onto the cliffs and it was very annoying not mention him taking forever to reset back to his spawn point. If that doesn't happen much anymore then strike him from the list
Honorable mention- Tibia Mariner- You're lucky your name is a funny-sounding bone or else your boring ass would be on the list.
