PC user interface forces you to use game controllers

Something I did not see until I bought and loaded the game first time - the game starts with almost no keyboard control and very frustrating mouse control, and everywhere you see console controllers buttons mentioned, including in the game itself.
While you can (somehow, very frustrating and clunky) customize the keyboards settings, when starting the game you are instructed to use the controller button Y ..

I honestly don't understand why no one writes about this in the game reviews, or it being mentioned anywhere on the dev site. Not every PC player owns or like to use a game controller. Some honestly like to use gaming mouse and keyboards instead. That's the whole point of playing on a PC rather than a PS5/Xbox X .

Besides that, even though the game shows to support native ultrawide, there is none in the menu or the game itself.

Hands down this looks like a ripoff lousy PC port of a native consoles only code.

One, you can change the layout to keyboard in settings under Display. Two, it never officially supported ultra wide.

There is a setting in options for keyboard promts!

The fact the menu shows you 3440x1440 means it should, otherwise it's either a bug or a lie. Besides that, doesn't matter if you change the layout - the game port to PC forces you to use console controller

It lets you run your resolution, but with black bars since not officially supported. And I've been playing Keyboard and Mouse since launch no issues.

i did barely any control changes and im playing fine, and im on keyboard and mouse, and like mpn64 said there is a setting to enable keyboard prompts. you have to understand this game was built with controller use in mind

I played 130 hours only kbm, how does it force you to use controller? Took a minute to change prompts and switch some bindings to my preference.

the UI is not clear from the start - in the menu and while building your character you see only controller buttons mentioned. Even moving between settings you are shown console UI (LT, RT, Y B R G etc.). As for the resolution, if it's not officially supported, it shouldn't be shown as an option in the first place by the developers. I'm not being a "troll", just saying how it is. It looks like a half baked cookie

Maybe read what people are saying? You can change the UI to use keyboard buttons by changing a setting
