Do Volcano Manor quests affect the endings/story in any significant way?
Hey so I just reached Volcano Manor and they want me to assassinate some NPCs and fight against the Erdtree. Does doing these quests affect the ending or much of the story? I'm looking to hopefully do it for the loot but don't want to get locked into any "bad" route.

From my googling around it seems it doesn't affect much but I'm also trying to avoid too much spoilers so not sure.

The only ending that gets "forced" upon you is if you accept a thing called the Frenzied Flame from below the capital. You have to do a special thing to undo that ending if you accept it initially.

Otherwise, all the other endings are made as a final choice at the end based on what you've done and acquired.

It affects exactly 0. Nothing you do in VM can change any of the endings. It can lock you out of some npc quests though.

NPCs outside of the Manor? Which ones? Do any NPCs treat you differently if you do Manor quests?

Thanks for the help.

Last bump. If anyone has the answers to these questions I'd appreciate it.
