Revive npcs
Any idea how I can revive Gostoc ? My first playthrough was already ruined because the game was still in early access without any notification being present on the store page. But in my second playthrough I already got up to raya lucaria before they rolled out the patch, which took them a month.

Yeah sure why? It's just weird that they ship a early access title like this and make it that you miss certain stuff because they didn't implement it, so I figured there would be a way to solve this.

I once killed Sellen. I asked for absolution at the Church of Vows and not only was she brought back to life, she was as friendly as ever.

you missed nothing with gostoc. actually you gained more by killing him since you got his bell bearing.

Uninstalled, what a scam. Should've been a 20 dollar early access game.

I see people accidentally killing important NPC's such as Varré and Sellen then unable to do their quests or quests concerning them later on.

If you "accidentally" attack them and they turn hostile, don't finish them off. Just as in DS3, you can ask forgiveness aka absolution. Just use a Celestial Dew.
Celestial Dew allows players to carry out an Absolution at the Church of Vows, reversing all antagonizations and resurrecting all dead merchant NPCs.

You can purchase them from merchants, find them on dead bodies or even craft them.

So yeah, don't put them out of their misery as you might just extend yours :s_smile2:

Your actions have consequences. With this character's death, the thread of prophecy is severed. Restore a saved game to restore the weave of fate, or persist in the doomed world you have created.

Uh yeah but then quests didn't get added after a month. They never did this in dlc at all in any title.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
