How to reach North without killing Morgott?

When you kill Morgott, you get Rold key ..
but you can also collect 2 halves .. one in south and one in the north, after morgott .. makes me wonder why, you can reach region after Leyndell without killing Morgott?

u can bypass the game pretty far, but only way i`m going far is to gather stuff to start killing more bosses and do the questline, help a ton on a paper mage, there is a ton of vid on how, i couldn`t not find the path by myself

i am doing everything but now it kicked me that i got the rold key after morgott but just collected the other half in norther region which reminded me this .. situation.
And i cant find anything .. dont wanna watch some speedrunners .. i wanna know the official way to get there without morgott .. i am just curious

are you referring to the secret rold medallion? because that goes somewhere else

When you go to the Rold lift with both medallions, you should see that you have the option to swap actions while standing on the lift. I think the second action says something like "Use Secret Medallion".
As far as I'm aware there is no way to skip Morgott.

you can't mate. up until that point you have the freedom to explore most areas but the lift of rold can only be unlocked - or more specifically the area in which it resides - by defeating morgott.
I tried to do that during my third playthrough and it told me that a seal has been casted by morgott the grace given.

yeah you can choose between the secret area and the mountain tops.
however you need the first half which you get in the albinauric village from the pot guy and the second half is in one of the worst areas in the entire game called castle sol. after defeating the boss there you'll get the second half. then you go back to the lift of rold and press left or right on your Dpad and that way you unlock the secret area
