Any way to progress White-Faced Varré's questline without invading

I'd gladly invade people, but because I play on linux and Proton Experimental is a piece of ♥♥♥♥ rn I can't play the game online

I can play the game (using ProtonGE, a community fork of Proton that is seen as "inappropriate behavior" and kicks me offline), just not online

Is there any way to advance Varre's questline without invading, or do I just have to wait before I can get into Mohgwyn's palace. I'll also be extremely glad if anyone knows how to fix my blackscreen problem

The issue with crashing to desktop on game start-up? Gotta be a bit more descriptive, there are a few problems involving black or white screens.

No doesnt seem to be. The volcano manor quests dont seem to count. Which seems like an oversight

No doesnt seem to be. The volcano manor quests dont seem to count. Which seems like an oversight

it makes sense 'cause you're specifically being asked to invade using bloody fingers. so the volcano manor quest doesn't count and using the recusant finger doesn't count either

I got the same problem, I played on ps4 without PS+, so I can't go online.Where is one way to get to Mohgwyn's palace without invasions. You need to get in the secret location which is located northwest of the snowy location. There should be the teleport into Mohgwyn's palace.
