Walking Mausoleum question.

I saw a giant turtle thing with a tower, decided i didnt like it and started whacking its feet. I got in and it says I can duplicate the rememberance of a boss. I've only beaten godrick and havent actually done anything with his ashes yet. Can I leave this mausoleum thing and come back to it later or do I have to use its benefit now? i don't want to waste the opportunity

They will remain where you knocked them down so come back anytime. One time use only though. There’s a handful or so scattered around. I forget exact number.

Okay thanks. Last followup question, can I 'consume' the rememberance of a boss for a ton of runes like you could in Dark Souls if you didnt like the weapons offered?

yes you can consume them for runes, you can even get remembrances that you have already used at the mausoleum, but you can only use the mausoleum to duplicate once

Yup. 20k I think?

You can also dupe remembrances that you have already 'spent'.

As stated the mosoleums are one time use. There are 7, with 7 remembrances, so you can get all the stuff you want.

Theres a pair in Lirunia that can only dupe non-shard bosses. And for some people the ones in Castle Sol and Consecrated Snowfield when you use one the other gets 'spent' as well.

the walking mausoleum stays there untill newgameplus++ you may return later , also unused rememberances @ enia or walking mausoleums, stay with you on newgamepluses++ so no hurry...

Theres like double the remembrances compared to mausoleums so don't use them on any boss, only use mausoleums for bosses with weapons you think are very good/cool.

You have to duplicate it BEFORE you use it. You can also duplicate it even if it is in your storage box so you don't need to carry them in your inventory when you go back later.

I would not duplicate them for their runes on the earlier bosses however. You will likely not have much of an issue getting Runes - if you MP you can coop against bosses and get a lot of runes that way (it's about 1/3 - 1/5 or so of the amount you get when you first kill them - Malenia will give you 100k iirc when you coop kill her for example but drops like 500k when you kill her first time - but there are easier bosses which you can coop farm for like 10-50k runes) or if you just do SP there are easy ways to get Runes, like the Giants pulling the cart in Limgrave drop like 1k each.

Since the mausoleum are a 1 time use, I would recommend you duplicate for the gear you can get, or if you want the runes, wait until you get a boss remembrance worth more than just 20k. Radahn, if you beat him, will give you 40k from his remembrance so that is a much better option than Godrick for example. Most of the bosses give you 20-30k until Radahn, which is 40k, and then the easiest one to get 50k from is Rykard (and the rest of the end-game bosses, including Malenia and such, also only give 50k).

Pretty sure you can't. Pretty sure if you consume it or spend it on a weapon you can no longer duplicate it, since you no longer have it. Maybe I have to recheck.

Edit - Ah, seems I was incorrect after looking into it again - could have sworn a few times ones I had used failed to show up in them but whatevs, maybe I was at the Liurnia ones or something and basing it on shard-bearer rems. Nevermind.
