Can't find Edgar? (Spoilers)

I found Irina and got her letter. I ♥♥♥♥♥♥ around in the area and returned to where her body was. I then went to the castle to look for her father but couldn't find him. So I went and killed the boss. He's not on the tower where he's supposed to be and he's not at Irinas body. Anybody know how to fix this bug?

I had a similar situation but not exactly the same and am looking to find some answers or clarification.

I found Irina and got her letter.

Then before I ever entered Castle Morne I returned to her location and found her dead.
I examined her corpse (maybe I shouldn't have)

Then I enter Castle Morne for the first time guided by my buddy in multiplayer. We visit the bench where he's supposed to be located...he's not there.

We try reloading at a near by site of grace - still no luck.

Then we move forward and kill the boss and revisit...he is still not at the bench.

Visit Irina corpse - He's not there.

I've never seen Edgar a single time.

The last step I have to test is visiting the Revenger's Shack and see if he spawns.

Seem like a bug if he never spawned before I killed the boss.

Same deal. Several characters. Some before patch, some after patch. Edgar has never been on his bench or anywhere else.

I never was able to meet Edgar until going to Revenger's Shack. I think I may have talked to Hyetta and gave her a grape between talking to Irina and looking for Edgar at the castle so I imagine that's possibly why he doesn't show up.

I had the same problem but eventually he turned up in the castle. I can't be sure but it might have only worked after killing Radahn.

did you kill Gotrick the Grafted?
if so the quest probably accelerated on it's one and you missed alot of the quest chain, and will most likely find him at the "Revenger's Shack" in Lucaria.

through there is so many ways to mess up quest chains, so i don't think it is possible to see everything in a single play through, Especially not Blind, so i guess you will have something to see forward to next time you play a "new game" or a "new game+".

Its a mega bugged out quest :( I can't get the third grape cause he won't invade me and I didn't kill him the first two times I talked to him

@TripSin I also talked to Hyetta and gave her a grape between talking to Irina and looking for Edgar.

he will still invade you even if you never meet him before. tested after newest patch. with new char. i am not sure it will work on chars made before patch 1.03 tough.

he will drop everything includeing the weapon +8 and the grape on his death at the shack. its dropped directly into your inventory.

they added a failsafe so you dont miss out on rewards. you only miss a few lines of dialoge.

Like @TripSin mentioned I talked to Hyetta and gave her a grape between talking to Irina and looking for Edgar at the castle.

I saw Edgar for the first time today today once I made it to Revenger's Shack. He did invade and drop the grape.

Recieved Letter of Irina.
Killed Godrick before entering Morne.
Edgar never appeared in Morne at the bench.
Edgar also didnt appear there after killing Lion Beast Boss at the Seaside near Morne.
He neither appeared at ☺☺☺☺☺'s Corpse.
Rushed to the revengers shack.
Edgars Spirit invaded me.
After killing him he dropped everything. (Helbeard +8 and Grape)

Same problem, can't give him the letter he is not on the castle tower. But he invades me at the shack, any chance to complete the quest somehow ?
