I wish I could play online with mods.

No real intention to cheat in PvP. I just enjoy being summoned to peoples worlds and doing silly sh­it. That and if I get invaded I can just change their character type to Furled Finger and send them home without instant-killing them like a douche.
The other reason I want mods online is so I can mess around with friends.

What if I want to specifically play in Elden Ring? Some people that use this argument fail to understand that maybe people just want to mod a specific game.

Invader is an invasion that should be treated as an invasion. The fact this game treats it exactly like what it is, (an enemy joining to ruin your experience, interrupt your game, and kill you.)

As an invader you ARE THE ENEMY. So stop crying about being treated like the enemy no?

Then do what I did, and become instead an AVENGER!!! Woooo
This is fun for me who does not care about all this nonsense either way.
As for cheating well this is just my opinion, but those who cheat in multiplayer should just go die for the betterment of all mankind. Facts.

I'd buy it if that was the case. No reason they couldn't have two player pools, for EAC enabled/disabled.

Might actually see fewer cheaters with the "disabled" pool anyway, because of player mods.

Regardless, some people want to mod and play with friends or just not use EAC for a variety of reasons.

I think the best current way to do it is to use some firewall software and just block IP addresses of invaders

I mean, yeah. I can do that. Doesn't stop EAC from yeeting me if I want to mod with my friends though.
