Alecto, Black Knife Ringleader

From Software, can you show me how you defead Alecto, Black Knife Ringleader wih mage? Its not possible guys :(. Why you **** this game by **** like this?

p.s. my last comment: solved.... comet azur + graven-school talisman + graven-mass talisman + godfrey icon talisman + cerulean hidden tear + intelligence-knot crystal tear + lusats glinstone staff (level 10) + ranni set + 76 intellect and this boss fight was 4-5 sec long... Rly hard boss god. Glass cannon 4ever... no glitch i hate glitchs

I defeated him as mage. There's a rock on the left side of where you spawn for the fight. YES I am aware of many guides that show how to glitch the boss but thats not what I am trying to say. So back to the rock - right after you spawn on the arena, rush left on that high ground rock and drink the infinite fp potion, by the time you drink it the boss will appear and you will be able to kill him ez with the comet of azure. The ez part comes from the way the boss enters the battle - he comes walking and after that he stalks you and also walks towards you, its not insta rush if you are that far away, so you have time to prepare the setup. I was also close to defeating him with the offhand Moon sword from the Ranni quest but I couldn't beat him after 4 or 5 tries so I tried the Comet Azure way - worked perfectly.

the best times to attack her are in the middle of her combos. just space her and hit her with comet or something while she spams attacks

I just beat this boss, all you have to do is roll backwards to evade his attacks lol. He grabs, roll back and hit him once, he stabs, do the same thing. His moveset is super simple to read like most of the normal bosses, he is just a guy with a knife. If you are using magic then just evade until he uses either the stab, grab, or ground slam and punish him lmao.

in many fights you can't use ONLY magic, because some opponents are too strong in ranged combat or close in on you too quickly.
Therefore, always have a good melee weapon with you, e.g. the moonblade katana, or the dark moon greatsword, an estoc with the right enchantment is also very strong.
but the best is a spear with shield, cross-naginata, with ice weapon enchantment, so you hit the opponent with bleeding AND ice at the same time, and spears you can use while blocking, also works with estoc or rapier, but have less range, but stab faster.

It's not impossible like you claim.

he's arguably easier as a caster/ranged than he is for a melee... his BS jump AOE is instant death and he can do it at complete random, and i am telling you right now, there is no way you will run away from it in time unless you see him winding it up.
if it doesn't outright kill you, the DoT it applies will.

if anything you should have an easy time with this guy if you can manage to keep your distance... p.s he will backstep if you swing at him, so do that when he gets too close, you can't run away indefinitely, he will catch you.

I can tell you this fight was tough as melee(for me at SL80 at least) and actually the funnest fight I learned in the game. She's low poise, but very fast and I was in heavy armor with a big hammer. I'm kind of sad I beat her I wanna do the fight again and see if I still got it, no advice for a mage haven't played one sorry. Her longest opening is when she does her jump attack without the blood flame but as mage you can probably abuse both since there's a max range to the bloodflame jump attack. She is very fast and elusive use something with good tracking or dodge catch her, that's what I had to do with melee is run at her and if she dodged keep chasing to get a hit in to try and interrupt her, or if she attacked I would still just try and trade with her.

The trick if you are next to her is actually to run under her and get behind her it's just difficult to execute cause the camera doesn't always like to untarget in the middle of hectic combat.

Is this the dark assassin boss? If so yeah, I'm also a mage and didn't struggle much. They're very weak to rock sling and carian greatsword/slice/moonblade spells. The greatblades are so large that they can't dodge it.

I killed him as mage using the sword type spells, i.e. Carian greatsword. The similar but better spell that drops from the nearby dragon (hint hint) works even better. These spells interrupt the guy.
