ELDEN RING

ELDEN RING

View Stats:
Since patch 1.0.3, game will not load if MSI Afterburner is open
The game won't go beyond the initial white screen if MSI Afterburner is active.

Any fix for this? I always use AB because I have a custom curve to improve the voltage efficiency of my GPU.

EAC probably picks up on it

its just like my mouse software (roccat)

doesnt the software save and store the settings even if the software is closed ? :lunar2019deadpanpig:

Weird. MSI Afterburner 4.6.4 works fine for me with Elden Ring, although I had a white screen lock on my first attempt to load the game after a completely clean reinstall of Windows 10 and the brand new Radeon Driver. Subsequently, I have had no problems loading the game, although the intermittent stutters persist.

My Specs:
CPU: Ryzen 3600
Motherboard: B450 on 1.0.0.6 BIOS
GPU: Radeon 5700 on new March 17 driver
Windows 10 Pro fully updated

By the way, Tourettes Guy is my role model! If you ever played DS3, check out my DS3 Player Profanities mod and set your voice to "Male Young".

I don't know. I suppose if Afterburner is closed, it will not apply the custom curve. If someone can confirm this, I would appreciate it.

Both MSI Afterburner and RTSS work fine with the game on my end, weird. It doesn't really matter anyway, since unless you unchecked the "Apply overclocking on system startup" option in the application, your custom curves will still apply even if the program is closed.

Uhm... i dont think it helps but i use Afterburner all the time to boost my fan speed. And game works just fine with it ?
This is fine. Mar 19, 2022 @ 10:31am
Thanks for the headsup. I will delay the patch and play offline for now.

I NEED Afterburner. Without afterburner, my fans just wont work correctly (and yes, I tried BIOS changes to no avail)

If i booted this game without afterburner it would cook my GPU.

On Riva tuner statistics u have to turn "Stealth mode" off

I don't really know if that is the solution but when I did that it worked :cozyspaceengineersc:

As far as I've seen, this is entirely NVIDIA specific. I run Afterburner. Framerates never drop, glitches never happen, and EAC fails to install a new graphics driver (yes, it actually does this check Windows logs if you're using an NVIDIA GPU). Why the difference? Dunno.

One of the reasons for the patch, unlisted, was to update EAC as the anti cheat was already bypassed. This caused tons of issues I've gathered. Since the patch? Cracked within hours. As anyone who runs into a hacker that gets you banned would already know.

EAC phones home to servers every 2 seconds, and it installs both windows services and graphics drivers in "stealth". Proof? Well, the windows kernel runs everything. Check your event logs. Crazy stuff.

Also, compare driver versions for your NVIDIA GPU via their app and in device manager. I'm often seeing they do not match. But look yourself don't take my word for it.

If that's not working, try updating Afterburner and RivaTuner.

I have RTX 3080 and running MSI AB all the time for voltage and fans control, overlay disabled - no issues.

Well, I have the same problem. Sometimes the game get stuck in the main screen, sometimes when loading any save. Didnt happen before, even after last patch.

The only way to run it flawless is disabling Afterburner OSD or closing the app entirely.

Any fixes?

Afterburner 512.15 is the latest and works fine for me. Must be your computer OP? I have had only one crash so far in this game and I think it was because my son went thru the menus in like a nano second lol. I told him to slow down just a tad and so far no more crashes.

Its the OSD that is crashing the game, even when loading a save.

Anyone knows if a previous MSI Afterburner build is working correctly? 4.6.3 has the same problem.
