I didn't get Thop's Barrier Ash of war from scrab

So going off what the wiki its scarb to the NW of the temple quarter's fireplace. I killed it and only got 2 somber stones. Anyone have any idea y?

Same thing happened to me. Found it initially on the top of the small hill top, but it vanished. Then, I rode a little west, off the cliff and killed it (or similar one), and it gave me 2 Somber Stones too. Thop's Barrier has not respawned since.

You literally need to rest and pass time at a grace to reset scarabs that got away...

As for using map guides...It's not exact for location or complete. I even found stuff/weapon after I completely explore a place and used a map guide to double check, but it was not shown... I explore first, then check. Most people use map and don't explore...
