how to remove item from offhand without inventry?

just watched a guy on youtube during a fight, had disabled magic staff in his left hand and then he did something and it was gone, but during the fight without going to inventory .. like you go to inventory and remove it from the slot.

i am not talking about switching from left to both hand right, so dont talk about that.

So there must be some keyboard shurtcut to switch the empty slot or remove it without inventory?
I can definitely use that and i would like to know .. anyone knows how?

If you only have one armament equipped, you can switch between the weapon and your fist, empty hand. If you have two or three it will never go to an empty hand, just cycle through the weapons from left to right. This works for either left or right hand.
