The Carian study hall crash

I've been looking to climb up the study hall since I encounter it and the moment I knew I had to do Ranni's quest to access it I've been working hard on achieving this goal.

So I played for 3 days, I did everything right, I beat Radahn, I found Nekron and cleaned the place I finally got the item allowing me to climb the tower but when I try to use it my game crash, every time. I feel so betrayed and I guess I'll never know what's on top of that tower.

Do people here know if it's a common bug ?

Edit : Ok so yes it is a common bug, for some reason the last patch was corrupt ? If you encounter this problem you can try this solution, it worked for my case and it seems to work for others

Same thing happened to me when I tried to remove the item. Had to verify files and Steam had to reinstall EAC just to boot into the game again.

I had the same problem. After the crash i validated the file integrity, it downloaded 1 file, now the crash is fixed and i can continue the quest.

Same crash same spot for me too. Have had other crashes on cutscene loads but this one is the only consistent one. Seems like the recent patch broke something here. Tried validating files and 1 failed to validate as Yacc said, hopefully that fixes it.

Same issue for me, validating files in Steam fixed it as well.
