How to get a duplicate of a weapon?

you don't dupe a weapon .. you dupe a weapon arts you understand wrong

Don't need to cheat. You just have to ask a coop player to drop his and you can pick it up.

you could probably ask among the discussions here if anyone has a spare X weapon their not using, considering I still tend to pick up weapons I forget that I don't need for my current build, got a lot of weapons I wont use on this character lying around.

Only through cheats. Many items (weapons included) that you can drop are not even visible to other players.

I've noticed this happens when the weapon has been upgraded prior to being dropped. No cheats necessary afaik.

Go to NexusMods, there is a mod that lets you give yourself whatever you want.
Play offline, install mod, give items, uninstall mod, play normally.

It's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that they don't let you get more than 1 of SO many weapons per playthrough.

Specifically upgraded to a higher tier than they have available example being I loaned a friend a weapon they wanted cause I currently am using other toys but had to wait for her to get a weapon that used a 9 quality smithing stone since i never droped the last upgrade on it.

Ask a friend to give you a weapon, he can reroll the save after. People have been doing it since ds1
