Arcane + Vigor ... Most difficult build?

I recently had to start a new character after my main save file was corrupted, so I decided to try a new, less popular build: pure Arcane + Vigor.

Arcane mostly boosts Item discovery, but very few weapons scale with Arcane, and many enemies and bosses are resistant to poison and blood loss, so Arcane builds are definitely in need of a major buff.

I'm currently using a Reduvia + Great knife with a poison ash or war for Arcane scaling. This blood loss + poison build works well for PvP and some enemies, but becomes practically useless for PvE when blood loss and poison are ineffective, which can severely slow down your progress.

I regret trying this build and I definitely don't recommend it to anyone unless you know what you're doing... but I hope it'll be worth the effort once I get the full blood dragon build that scales on Arcane.

Any tips and advice on Arcane builds would be appreciated.

Arcane is not unpopular. It has always been very strong and popular.

Dragon Seal scales with Arcane. Bleed scales with Arcane. So you want Drgaon incantations and you want to turn your weapons over to blood infusion. That is it. You will proc bleed with melee and use dragon incantations for aoe/bosses etc.

+faith (enough to equip whatever dragon incatations you want)

Yeah, that's true. But it's rather ineffective for many PvE areas, so I assume they're relying quite heavily on co-op to progress through the areas and bosses where blood loss + poison are useless.

There are, but for those you just switch to occult weapons, and it makes no difference.

Yeah... actually the majority of bosses I've encountered are resistant to blood loss and poison.

Not many of those out there, and you can switch to occult - it's physical scaling for arcane.

Yeah... actually the majority of bosses I've encountered are resistant to blood loss and poison.

Some examples? Because most of the ones I encountered weren't immune to it.

You use spells for any enemies which are immune to bleed. Ie Dragonbreath, Dragonrot breath etc. You must pump mind up enough to get at least two consecutive dragon breaths off with one spell cast. That's all.
