I don't need to do that for the main story bosses though, they're actually properly designed and not just plopped into an arena without any thought.
i like getting money from working a job, but that doesn't mean i'm going to run to work if i have a car
That’s why people who b!tch and moan about “meta-slaves” or “flavor of the month” will never win that argument and always act surprised when a new game is released and people have already figured everything out and min-max and beaten it in the first week or two… like yeah… that’s normal human behavior to want to play optimally or pick the best class or weapons. Very few people like to purposely gimp themselves or “go in blind” and even fewer people will activately try to make the game harder or do it competitively like speedrunners or no-hit runners.
If this is the first time people are hearing about this then I hate to break it to ya, but most gamers don’t play a game blind or spoiler-free. Most people in most aspects of their daily lives, including games, will want to do things the easiest and fastest way to achieve the goal including looking up the most min-max optimal builds or routes in a game.. and yes… even cheating. It’s hardwired into our nature to think and act like that.
In the end this game in pve is about finding fun builds and styles of play you enjoy regardless of how others think of you.
well I bet your dad would be real proud that he raised a wh0re lmao
if you like the game you should be happy FS made a sale, so they can continue making games. I mean I agree, playing a strict melee class IS tough and I did enjoy it much more than monveiling/N&F or my sorcery build (I actually started completely over from the fire giant because I respec'd to try out a sorcerer and hated how it felt) but what I DON'T agree with is bashing other people for how they choose to play.
Don't get me wrong, it's perfectly fine of you to look down on them for their choice to play the game essentially on easy mode... but like... again.. who do you think you are that you need to lord that over people? So what? Just move on.
Games are becoming accessible to more people, it's just a good business model. Games can still be hard and appeal to a large audience, you just have to cope with the fact that the game has training wheels inside it to attract the more casual players (again, a GOOD thing! More players = more money = more games!)
I know this thinking is foreign to most of the DS community, but maybe this comment will cure your ignorance somewhat.
why not just do the easy thing and make it with your hands?
me taking the piss aside: its a game, people like to feel powerful, so why would they not use magic thats powerful? this has been the case in all souls games.
simply put: why would people use weak things if they have stronger choices?
and the answer is: only if they want to, but that is them fufilling a niche, not the expected outcome.
boom, simple.
