[SPOILERS] Disappointed by Magma Wyrm Makar

I don't think I've ever seen such a disappointingly easy boss except for that one boss in Sekiro (you know the one). Its attacks are too slow and telegraphed, with massive "downtime" after each combo.

What level were you when you fought it?

He actually felt Fair and like a proper Souls boss. He is also harder when you fight him near the lava flows.

Somewhere between 40 and 50. That wasn't the problem, it was the fact that it didn't attack very often, and when it did, its attacks were too telegraphed.

hmm yeah I fought at around level 40 as well. Are you a melee character? I think this boss is much easier if you have range.

Even as melee, you can just back off a bit and wait for him to step away from the lava.

If you dodge his initial charge attack the fight is basically a free win. If you get hit by the first charge attack you die and try again. It's probably one of the most easy/straightforward fights in the game.

Yeah, try fighting it with only a melee weapon. This boss specifically is quite easy if you have sorceries. He's a lot more dangerous if you have to fight him up close.

More dangerous, sure, but still seems very easy. His attacks are still slow and highly telegraphed, it's not like using melee suddenly changes his attack pattern.

He rushes forwards spitting more lava everywhere, and you end up with very few safe spots to stand. If you stand in the actual lava, you fat roll, etc.

Or of you are an easy mode ranged player, you can just snip him from safety.

No, it doesn't change his attack pattern, but he cant hit you at mid range. None of his attacks have that kind of range. All of his attacks punish close range.
